Verizon finally getting the best Android phone
Verizon today finally announced they too will be carrying the highly touted and reviewed HTC One phone. See gdgt's review of the HTC One. The last couple years Big Red has missed out on some of the better Android phone and opted to carry their own line of 'Droid' labeled phones. It is still unclear whether or now Verizon will give the new HTC One its own 'Droid' branding. No release date or pricing has been announced for the phone but hopefully they will get this phone to market soon. I am a die hard Apple fanboy and my primary phone is an iPhone. But I also carry and Android phone, currently the Nexus 4 LTE on Verizon, as I very much enjoy Google Now and keeping up with the latest technology coming out of the Android development team.
HTC recently announced a stock Android version of the HTC One for AT&T and T-Mobile. There has been no indication whether or not Verizon will carry a vanilla version of the HTC One that would allow developers to have a clean version of Android and to get the latest updates.
I think the HTC One is the best Android phone to date, HTC has done a great job with the aluminum body design and hopefully Verizon will allow a stock version and this will quickly become the newest phone in my daily use.
